An exhibition at Halmens Hus by BA1 Crafting Futures students, HDK-Valand Campus Steneby
What happens when we gather around a table not only to eat but to share materials, knowledge, stories and ways of making?
Harvest Table brings together the work of BA1 Crafting Futures students from HDK-Valand Campus Steneby, exploring how we form materials and how materials form us.
Through willow basketry, pleating, plaster moulds, clay, digital modelling and 3D printing, the students investigate how materials, tools and techniques shape what we make – and how our actions shape the material in return.
Inspired by the harvest and the table as places of gathering, transformation and sharing, the exhibition brings individual explorations into dialogue, creating a collective landscape of materials, forms and processes.
Presented at Halmens Hus, the exhibition connects with Dalsland’s rich craft traditions and the knowledge held within materials. Harvest Table invites visitors to reflect on our relationships with materials, the ways we make and the things we gather and share.
