Halmens dag Sunday, August3

A yearly, recurrent arrangement in cooperation with the local handicraft association. Straw Day is celebrated on the first Sunday in August, to pay tribute to straw and its uses. In Halmens Hus, as well as in all the cottages at the open air-museum Gammelgården - and outdoors - straw craftsmen will be in action demonstrating their skills. Feel free to try some straw craft yourself! Furthermore, people in the cottages will tell you about the history of the buildings.
